The first part of the paper will be a summary of the article, written in your own words (200-250 words).
The second part of the paper will be your critique of the reading (250-300 words). In this part answer the following questions: Are the arguments convincing? What particular arguments are convincing? How and why or why not? What makes the arguments convincing/ not convincing? What are the strengths, weaknesses? Why? What evidence does the author use (facts, statistics, experts’ opinions, personal examples, etc)? Is this evidence effective/ convincing and why? What is the strongest argument? What is the weakest argument? Why?

Guidelines:
- Length: 200-250 words for the summary and 250 -300 words for your critique. Total is about 450-550 words
- Formatting: 1†margins, Times New Roman 12 pt. font, double-spacing throughout, except single space the header (see formatting requirements)
- File name: Your first name + Summary.docx
- In your intro paragraph, mention the article’s title and the author’s name.
- Do not number or use bullets for your points; write the summary in paragraphs, arranged by subtopics that fit together logically.
- Focus on the main points. Do not include a lot of specific details.
- Make sure to paraphrase (use your own words). You may change the sentence structures and the order of ideas, and use synonyms to convey the meaning.
- No quotations
- In the critique, prove your ideas by relevant supporting evidence from the reading
- Include a reference page in APA
