Yes .At present there is a lot of gap exist between business requirement and employee level engagement. Modern union czn actually bridge the gap exist between management and employees and make the system more colloborative where they can make a win win situation. This will help in employee engagement and contribute more commitment oriented performance from the employees side. Management in return can also be responsible to keep their employees well with their needs on career as well as personal needs. More political interventions in the current union system create lot of lobbying and favoritism which creates lot of havocs and that disconnect the right link between various stakeholders. The union system needs to be unbiased in many areas of decision making and should ensure the equal rights to all employees without any sort of discrimination.
