The import challenge I selected is step 4: Remain Vigilant on Import Safety Requirements to Avoid Border Delays

All of the actions provided are great to ensure the safety of our country and its people. In addition, I would add to better border security. Security can made better with staying up to date with technology and resources made available to us. The security of our border can be strategically secured through a combination of teams such as local, state and federal entities. Bumping up security will help ensure that all 7 of the current actions are met.

The export challenge I selected is step 5: Decide How You Will Approach the TSA Screening Mandate

In addition to the recommended actions I would form a special team whose sole purpose would be to research all available resources on how to continuously meet all CCSF requirements, estimate cost, stay in compliance, create ways on how to handle shipments, and meet all requirements for bonded cargo. This team will also be responsible for ensuring that all levels of business are on board with each action necessary to accomplish the screening process. We will add quality assurance to ensure that all information/requirements retained are being used properly.

As you explore the certificates, also consider which is likely to be more effective: training provided by the U.S. government or programs offered by private organizations, colleges, and universities?
