Take Two Paper

You will write a 4-5 page research paper analyzing a 2-3 minute clip of your choice. You will first introduce the storyline, characters, context and relationship. You will then analyze what went wrong during the interaction and then offer suggestions about how to improve the interaction. Your analysis and suggestions must use 3-5 concepts from the book/lecture (all chapters may be used).

Steps:

1.   Find a 2-3 minute clip. The clip must show communication breakdown. You will use concepts to explain why things went bad and use different concepts to explain what they should have done differently to make thing turn out better. In other words, you cannot analyze a clip that demonstrates good communication. That is not the point of this project.

b.   You must choose a clip that I will have access to. You will be required to send me the link with your final paper. I will not grade a paper without a link to the video.

2.   Use 3-5 concepts total that will help describe what went wrong in the clip AND how to improve the interaction3.   Fill out the outline to ensure you have all the requirements4.   Turn the outline into a 4-5 page paperPaper format:

1.   Introduction (1 paragraph)

2.   Briefly introduce the storyline, characters, context, and relationship (about ½-1 page)

3.   Analyze what went wrong (1-2 pages)

4.   Offer suggestions regarding how to fix what went wrong (1-2 pages)

5.   Conclusion (1 paragraph)
