The three main tenets of TQM are:
1. Customer satisfaction through quality output: E.g.: Customer gets the value for money from the product purchased. For this the product should meet all the product expectations, such as quality as per industrial standards set by ISO
2. Employee involvement: E.g: Creating cross-functional teams for working on specific issues such as Gemba to find root cause of a problem and generate solution for the same.
3. Continuous improvement in quality: E.g: Improve the existing process by implementing best practices and get the best out of the product to improve product performance and meet customer expectations.
