After reading through the Horizon Report (K-12) that is most applicable to your current/future educational setting, use these questions and comments to guide your discussion.
What in the report excited you and why? What could you see using in your own instructional setting? What seemed unrealistic or questionable to you, if anything? Do these technologies seem like fads or might they have staying power?
Finally, given what you have learned so far, and what you have experienced yourself in the real world, discuss a challenge you see/have encountered involving integrating a “hot” new technology. These challenges might be anything from plagiarism to 1:1 classroom initiative struggles to schools “over-banning” useful websites like YouTube. You might even illustrate one of these challenges by sharing one of your experiences with an instructional technology issue you have grappled with yourself.
