Introduction: Is this essay I will discuss the outbreak of ebola and the way both italy or southern europe and africa dealt with this disease. Ebola, which is sometimes referred to as Ebola hemorrhagic fever or Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), is caused by a virus. It can often be fatal and is a very severe virus. It can affect primates and humans. Research believes that it was first introduced by an infected animal such as a bat. And that it spreads from humans by contact with the iunfected’s human blood or secretions. The disease is only contagious after the symptoms are developed and human to human transmission occurs through contact with body fluids from infected patients. The incubation period after infection is 1-21 and the fatality rates range between 30-90%. The Ebola virus was first discovered by the ebola river in 1976 by what is now the Democratic Republic of Congo (CDC). My research is going to focus on the main source of ebola. The immediate ways of treatment of infected ones, vaccinations invented, and the ways which both “countries” prevented the spreading of the disease.

Sources: For my sources, I will use the tools shared by Mr’ Johnson for the research of sources such as this link: (http://oac.cdlib.org) and use other sources like the UCLA library. Other websites may be included and any sources I will stumble upon which I will find interesting or worthy of sharing.

Working timeline: I plan to invest approximately 4 hours every week towards research and writing this paper. The paper will most likely be done and ready for polishing by march 10 and then ready to submit to the professor by march 16.
